The 49 techniques that guide educators into developing college ready students, all while, holding them accountable. This book has been a "go-to" text that I keep within eyes reach. 


2. The Dream-Keepers - Gloria Ladson-Billings
Another "go-to" manual that has influenced my teaching philosophy and journey throughout Georgia State. A great tool that helped me facilitate and address culturally relevant pedagogy. 

3. TeachersPayTeachers.com
Awesome resource for teacher made by teachers. I loved browsing this site to find interactive and engaging resources for my students. 

4. Pinterest for Education
Great place to find a wide variety of resources for old, and new teachers. Extremely interactive and creative resources.

5. Quizizz.com
Quizizz is a great technology resource that allows teachers to create and play awesome multi-player quiz games, both in and outside of the classroom. This resource is extremely easy and user-friendly. 

6. DragonBox- App for IPhone/ iPad/ Android
An award-winning app series of fun and educational math games designed to make difficult math easy by bringing it to life.  I got a lot of hands-on experience with Dragon Box in my Math Methods course (Thanks Dr. Cates!) .

7. How To Fix a Broken School - Linda Cliatt-Wayman

The speech by Linda Cliatt-Wayman chronicles her fearless determination to lead-and to love the students, no matter what- is  a model for leaders in all fields. Her speech inspired me to keep going because our students need us more than they'll show. One line that I'll carry with me to my teaching career is: "If nobody told you they love you, I love you, and I always will." 
8. Three Ways to Speak English- Jamila Lyiscott
The  spoken-word essay by Jamila Lyiscott celebrates and challenges the diverse language we call "English". I love this video because I believe that it's important for educators to  be flex variety of dialects we'l encounter in the classroom.

Newsela.com is a great resource that provides unlimited access to hundreds of leveled news articles and Common-Core aligned quizzes with new articles every day. I encourage literacy across disciplines so Newsela is a resources that I would use in both, Mathematics and English-Language Arts.

Google Classroom is a productive resource that helps teachers save time, keep classes organized, and improve communication with students This resource helps me maintain a 21st century classroom, at all times.
